• Submarine Rock
    anemptytextlline
I set out in the early hours to take this shot along the South Wales coastline….there was an unusual silence to this morning , the sky was like a grey blanket holding an eerie stillness in the air, not another soul in sight, the overcast sky and whispering waves creeping gently over the rugged rocks created a moment of detachment , a sense of otherworldliness. Eerie but beautiful. A real Zen moment.
  • Forest Invitation
    anemptytextlline
I felt I was being really drawn into this scene, an invitation, a welcoming into the magic that nature has to offer. The warming russet colours intending to lull you into a sense of comfort, a place your mind can go to detach from reality.
  • Pink October
    anemptytextlline
On my morning walk in early Autumn, I lifted my head and was suddenly captured by the delicate pinks, set against a colourless, cool sky. This simply couldn’t be ignored. I love taking photos with the sky as a back drop because it compels me to just look upwards.
  • Paradise Lost
    anemptytextlline
As I set up my equipment on this beautiful beach in Hawaii, I was overwhelmed by the surroundings. I was alone on this stretch of beach, not another soul in sight. I questioned myself as to whether I was dreaming. The soft purples in the sky, with the sound of gentle waves on the shore was truly a surreal sensation. I hope I have captured this for you
  • Autumn Steps
    anemptytextlline
The beauty that Autumn afternoon had to offer couldn’t be ignored. Such rich colours coming from every direction enveloped me, a truly magical moment. The steps created another level of surrealism for me , like they were calling me up into another world. I hope I did this season justice and captured its unrivalled beauty for you.
  • Edge of the World
    anemptytextlline
A real sense of peaceful solitude was felt whilst taking this shot as the sun was setting on the West coast of Florida. Just myself and a lone individual in the far distance taking in an incredible sunset. A sense of quiet appreciation can be felt coupled with a sense of vastness – A realisation that the world is so much bigger than us.
  • Fairy Forest
    anemptytextlline
Probably one of my favourite photos . A true sense of “magic” was felt as I clicked down the shutter to take this shot. The forest was silent apart from the occasional water droplets that were falling from the trees because of that mornings rain. I was mentally transported to another world , one that was reminiscent of the fairy tale stories I was told as I child. I was expecting to see the faces of fairies , looking out at me amongst the bluebells.
  • Onwards and Upwards
    anemptytextlline
These trees hit you with a powerful emotional punch. I feel if they could speak, they would be telling you to reach onwards and upwards. Their strong structure resembles reversed lightning bolts reaching up from the ground.
  • Hawaiian Waterfall
    anemptytextlline
The beauty of the Hawaiian rain forest can’t be denied in this photo. The vibrant greens and the ethereal sight and sound of the gentle waterfall calms the soul. I felt as though I was in my very own forest. This moment felt meditative and personal.
  • Autumn forest
    anemptytextlline
A cold stillness in the air, no movement from the trees around me , not a sound could be heard apart from the crisp, crunching sound beneath my feet as I set up my camera. I love that sensation of being pulled into a scene and I feel that this photo does just that. It's inviting you in to its autumn world of wonder.
  • British Summer
    anemptytextlline
What a perfect summers day. The birds could be heard singing their playful tunes and the suns warmth could be felt all around. I simply couldn’t ignore such vibrant beauty. I felt as though the flowers were calling for my attention. For me this moment captures a sense of happiness and is a true celebration of “Perfect British Summer”. If one wants to feel uplifted just take in the vibrance that radiates from this scene.
  • Solitude Rock
    anemptytextlline
It was a grey , very overcast early morning in Sardinia. I was alone on the beach as I set up for this shot. I loved how this lone rock mirrored the way I felt. Alone in the eerie vastness that surrounded me. The solitude I felt this morning was not an uncomfortable feeling , there was just a sense of detachment and acceptance how in this world we stand alone. I do love however how there is another sign of life in the distance as a sail boat can be seen on the horizon.
  • Mystic Falls
    anemptytextlline
For me this waterfall had a mystical and ethereal essence to it. After viewing my first shot through my viewfinder I zoomed in to surprisingly see a merlin type face looking out of the falls. I tried to recapture this in subsequent shots but failed to capture the same facial features. I felt truly present whilst being at this location, I found the constant gentle whisper of the falls soothing me into a deep state of relaxation.
  • Red Bloom Garden
    anemptytextlline
Capturing nature at its most vivid, spring time . Nature comes to life and the world is filled with colour – this is what I was attempting to show in this photo. The vivid bright reds in bloom and how they explode with such vibrancy and bold beauty.
  • Ancient Tree
    anemptytextlline
A natural ancient, stoical tree that looked like it had stood the test of time. It had an eerie presence, but had a kind of beauty in its own right. Beauty can still be found even in the oldest of things. It was around midday, which is an unusual time for me to take a photo, as the light at this time tends to produce flat uninteresting images. But the shadows that were cast on the ground from the trees skeletal structure were unbelievable. A moody but magical moment.
  • The Guardians of the Sea
    anemptytextlline
Whilst on a leisurely evening stroll along the La Jolla coast, San Diego, I just had to capture the group of sea birds that were perched high up on a lone tree that overlooked the sea . They looked like little guardians keeping a watchful eye on the vast and beautiful expanse that lay before them.
  • Magical Canopy Trail
    anemptytextlline
A truly spectacular forest canopy that you feel is inviting you into another realm. The bright pinkish hues really make this scene come to life with magical wonder. I asked myself: If I continue on my journey ahead what magical world would I end up in?
  • Misty Mountains
    anemptytextlline
The pine like foliage framing the stunning Hawaiian misty mountains in the distance was a sight so beautiful I just knew it would make a “stunning” composition. Simple but yet so striking.
  • Rainforest Walk
    anemptytextlline
Damp warm air lay like a blanket around me as I set up for this shot. I loved the rugged untouched and natural beauty of this path that calls you further into the rainforest. Alone once again, surrounded by tropical lush green with just the occasional sound of some exotic bird close by. Oh how I love to explore nature.
  • Spring has Sprung
    anemptytextlline
Look up, the sky is full of spring! I felt as though the vibrant green leaves were glistening green coins doing a gentle dance against a the backdrop of a beautiful blue sky. A true knowing that spring has sprung abounds.
  • Sun Beams at Sea
    anemptytextlline
A calm sea where boaters spend a leisurely evening. The sunbeams shone so brightly, and burst like golden rays of hope through the clouds in the distance. Whilst taking this shot a strong sense of elation could be felt, I just love sunbeams, they have an angelic like presence, as if there really is another realm watching from above.
  • Tropical twilight
    anemptytextlline
What speaks more of Hawaii than palm trees silhouetted against the stunning purple and peachy tones of the sky after the sun has set?   Such a beautiful sight to behold , the sky looked so soft , like fluffy candyfloss and I love the sickle moon smiling contentedly  within the palms. What a perfect evening in Hawaii
  • What Lies Beneath
    anemptytextlline
The roots of this tree were impressive, spreading out in all directions. The different sizes and shapes, like natures abstract art work. We often see the beauty of trees above but it is not very often we get to see the complex beauty underneath.
